A Review Of Stargazer, A Hot Sauce From Pepper North

Stargazer, you are crazy!

Stargazer will have you looking up to the skies like the character on the bottle. It is very hot, mostly due to the reaper powder and the super-hot pepper mash. When I tried this one I was sweating almost instantly.

I’m not usually a fan of sriracha-style sauces or sauces that are pushing a 9 or 10 on heat level. I usually find they taste a little unnatural. Stargazer from Pepper North tastes fresh and real just like the rest of their hot sauces.

However, I did find the reaper powder produced an unnatural heat and made this sauce taste a little bit like those novelty “so hot you’ll burn your face off” sauces. Not too much, but a little bit.

No Joke By Pepper North Is No Laughing Matter

They say everything in life is relative, which is perhaps why I originally thought No Joke from Pepper North was in fact a joke. I had just tasted tested several super hot sauces and then tested out this mild hot sauce.

Thankfully, I decided to wait a little bit and try it out again. Am I ever glad I did that!

I found out that No Joke adds a nice burst of heat and flavour to your meal.

I feel like all of the hot sauces I’ve been trying lately have been awesome. The same goes for Chocolate Habanero with Black Garlic by Mojo Peppa Sauces. This hot sauce has a ton of flavour and a ton of heat!

Mojo Music is a company in Oakville, Ontario that makes hot sauce and sells music gear. They are the only online store I know of that will ship bottles of hot sauce and a guitar pedal at the same time.

Like most of the guitar gear they sell, their Chocolate Habanero with Black Garlic hot sauce was rockin!

Supernova Original hot sauce is about as basic as it gets without becoming Franks Red Hot. Hot peppers, vinegar, garlic, and salt are the main ingredients in this hot sauce. With a minimal lineup like that, you can’t expect too much flavour. However, Original Hot definitely gets the job done.

Garlic Jalapeño is one of 3 hot sauces made in Canada by Supernova. This was my first time having this sauce and I have to say I did enjoy it. If you are looking for heat, I would look elsewhere, this is a flavour sauce!

As you would guess by the name, garlic is the showstopper flavour in the Garlic Jalapeño sauce. Combined with the vinegar and it almost tastes like a pickle. This makes it great for foods like sandwiches or burgers.

Dawson’s Original Hot Sauce Review – 5 Stars For A Full-Flavoured Sauce

Dang, this sauce is hot! I mean holy, what a great way to add heat to a meal. Dawson’s Original Hot is perfect if you’re looking to add that real pepper heat to a meal you forgot to add peppers too (who forgets the peppers?).

Original Hot is a little on the pricy side but well worth it for the craft hot sauce flavour. Fruity habanero peppers are what really make this hot sauce pop. A hint of sweetness from the cane sugar adds some character and balances out the heat.
