Hot Sauce Review: Heartbeat + Heatonist Lions Mane Piri Piri

This hot sauce from Heartbeat Hot Sauces is a unique take on traditional Piri Piri sauces. It is smooth, creamy, extremely tasty, and just a little bit hot.

Lions Mane Piri Piri was made to celebrate the 4th anniversary of HEATONIST’s tasting room in New York. What a great way to celebrate!

Marie Sharp’s Original Hot Habanero Hot Sauce Review

A simple yet delicious Habanero hot sauce from Marie Sharp’s in Belize. This hot sauce is a great example of the type of hot sauce you should always keep in your fridge.

It is hot but not too hot so you don’t need to worry about stinging the tongues of your fellow diners.

In terms of flavour, this one is pretty neutral which makes it a good all-around hot sauce. You can taste the carrots which are used as a base but the flavour blends well with most meals.

The habaneros used for heat are fruity and flavourful as well as spicy.

If you can find this one at your local grocery store it is well worth a try!

Tasty Heat’s Tangy Ghost Pepper and Serrano Hot Sauce Review

Tangy is a Serrano and Ghost pepper sauce made by Tasty Heat in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This bottle was a gift from a good friend in Toronto. I was very excited becuase I had been meaning to try some hot sauce from Tasty Heat.

This hot sauce is a vinegar forward sauce that is definitely Tangy. It has a mild heat and is said to go great with seafood, but it also worked well with some of my other meals.

If you’re into tangy sauces with the sharp heat of fresh ghost peppers, then this is the sauce for you.

Kultivar & Co Ghost Pepper and Molasses Hot Sauce Review

Ghost Pepper and Molasses hot sauce by Kultivar & Co would be great on BBQ ribs. The molasses is sweet and earthy and the ghost peppers provide just enough heat to make it enjoyable.

The uniquely shaped and clear bottle showcases the chunky and ingredient rich hot sauce contained inside.

Floating around the hot sauce you can see bits of blended coffee, cayenne peppers, and dates.

This offering from Kultivar definitely has what it takes to fall into the craft hot sauce category.

What a surprising find!

Hot Sauce Review: Asian Kick by Tijuana Tom’s House Of Hot Sauce

Asian Kick by Tijuana Tom’s House of Hot Sauce is a complex and delicious hot sauce.

This hot sauce tastes fresh and vibrant. The citrus and ginger flavours really shine which gives the sauce almost a cooling sensation.

Asian Kick’s unique flavour profile is somewhat limiting. While it’s taste is nothing to scoff at, it does not pair well with many dishes you would usually pair with hot sauce.

This hot sauce would go well with many asian inspried dishes (naturally) and also most veggie based dishes. Asian Kick would be perfect for veggie spring rolls or a buddha bowl, something like that.

Pineapple And Red Habanero THC Hot Sauce Review

Well, we finally have it here in Canada, THC infused hot sauce. Since Canada legalized cannabis in 2018, we have seen a plethora of new cannabis products. I knew someone would infuse hot sauce, it was just a matter time.

Heartbeat Hot Sauce and Bogarts Kitchen have teamed up to create a legal THC hot sauce for Canada’s cannabis market. So far there are two flavours: Red Habanero and Pineapple Habanero. Both staples of the Heartbeat Hot Sauce collection.

Here is what they taste like!

Mojo Chocolate Habanero with Black Garlic Hot Sauce Review

I feel like all of the hot sauces I’ve been trying lately have been awesome. The same goes for Chocolate Habanero with Black Garlic by Mojo Peppa Sauces. This hot sauce has a ton of flavour and a ton of heat!

Mojo Music is a company in Oakville, Ontario that makes hot sauce and sells music gear. They are the only online store I know of that will ship bottles of hot sauce and a guitar pedal at the same time.

Like most of the guitar gear they sell, their Chocolate Habanero with Black Garlic hot sauce was rockin!

Hot Sauce Review: Supernova Original Hot (Fancy Frank’s)

Supernova Original hot sauce is about as basic as it gets without becoming Franks Red Hot. Hot peppers, vinegar, garlic, and salt are the main ingredients in this hot sauce. With a minimal lineup like that, you can’t expect too much flavour. However, Original Hot definitely gets the job done.
