Tijuana Tom’s Reapers Calling Hot Sauce Review

Reapers Calling by Tijuana Tom’s is not your average hot sauce. It’s made with Carolina Reapers and Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Peppers, two of the hottest peppers on the planet.

But what sets this limited edition sauce apart is the addition of Third Moon Brewing Co’s Double Stout. This unique pairing creates a bold and flavorful sauce that’s not for the faint of heart.

In this review, we’ll take a closer look at Reapers Calling and see if it lives up to its fiery reputation.

Hot Sauce Review: Hurt Berry Farm’s Starless Mole Sauce

Starless is a smoky mole sauce made by Hurt Berry Farm. It is dark, chocolatey, and just a little sweet.

Mole pairs well with chicken, Mexican food, scrambled eggs, rumour has it, even ice cream!

This hot sauce is made with a complex list of ingredients including 3 types of mushrooms which give it a rich and earthy flavour.

A Review Of Stargazer, A Hot Sauce From Pepper North

Stargazer, you are crazy!

Stargazer will have you looking up to the skies like the character on the bottle. It is very hot, mostly due to the reaper powder and the super-hot pepper mash. When I tried this one I was sweating almost instantly.

I’m not usually a fan of sriracha-style sauces or sauces that are pushing a 9 or 10 on heat level. I usually find they taste a little unnatural. Stargazer from Pepper North tastes fresh and real just like the rest of their hot sauces.

However, I did find the reaper powder produced an unnatural heat and made this sauce taste a little bit like those novelty “so hot you’ll burn your face off” sauces. Not too much, but a little bit.

Hot Sauce Review: Hurt Berry Farm Fruition Lo-Con Harvest

This chef-owned farm in Port Perry, Ontario has been growing peppers and making hot sauces since 2018. Owners Drew and Steve are former chefs who love all things spicy.

Hurt Berry Farms sources ingredients with local growers and producers in mind. Whether grown on their own farm or sourced from fellow Ontario farms, you are sure to find fresh local ingredients in any of their hot sauces.

Fruition is a limited edition hot sauce made with Scorpion, 7 Pot, and Fatali peppers. There are a few special ingredients as well, but more on that later!
